Tabernacle – a chest with drawers and small doors, served for safekeeping of jewellery, letters and documents. It is made in the style of eclecticism, decorated primarily in historical style with Renaissance motifs.
A kind of Indian rubber imitating ivory was used for a rich inlay. The lower part with shaped up legs emulates the Renaissance style.
The tabernacle comes from the court of the Obrenović dynasty. It was a wedding gift presented by prince Miloš in 1859 to Cvetko Rajević, minister of the interior.
