A pair of silver earrings, each with a strawberry rendered in granulation, which were tied with ribbons to the band under the veil. This way of adorning the head was typical of the bridal attire and it was preserved in Serbian folk costume until the 19th century. The found items originate from an old Serbian necropolis at Vinča. It took shape above the prehistoric settlement at Vinča and retained its function for eight centuries (9t –17th century). With nearly one thousand graves it is probably the largest Serbian medieval cemetery in the territory of Belgrade.
